CHANGING A FUSE
Blown Fuse |
WARNING:
Always replace a fuse with one that has the specified amperage rating.
Using a fuse with a higher amperage rating can cause severe wire damage
and could start a fire.
If electrical components in the vehicle are not working, a fuse may have blown. Blown fuses are identified by a broken wire within the fuse. Check the appropriate fuses before replacing any electrical components.

Pre-Fuse Box
Your vehicle is equipped with a pre-fuse box located in the engine compartment attached to the positive battery post. This box contains several high current fuses. If replacement of these high current fuses is required, see your authorized dealer.
Power Distribution Box
WARNINGS
Always disconnect the battery before servicing high current fuses.
To reduce risk of electrical shock, always replace the cover to the power distribution box before reconnecting the battery or refilling fluid reservoirs.
The power distribution box is located in the engine compartment. It has high-current fuses that protect your vehicle's main electrical systems from overloads.
Lift the release lever at the rear of the cover to remove it.

ReplyDeleteBT fuse and where to locate it?
ReplyDeleteWhich fuses cover the DC outlets on the center console, the one in front of the shifter and the one in the console armrest center? I pulled F61 under the glove box but it didn't kill the power to either.
ReplyDeleteThank ya much.....
Try F15 and F18 of Power Distribution Box..
DeleteDang, I was afraid you might point them out, but I'm trying to figure how to get them to accessories were they will cut off when the switch is turned of. I bought some to those double fuse jumpers but so far they're doing me no good.
